Q: Why do you think the Tech to Protect Challenge is important to helping improve emergency response and public safety communications?
A: There is immense value to anything we can do as a society and tech community to improve preparedness and minimize risks faced by first responders and public safety professionals on a daily basis. When entering unknown and often dangerous environments, communication, information, and advance understanding can greatly assist with operations in the field and help save lives.
Q: What inspired DotProduct to support the Tech to Protect Challenge?
A: We were specifically inspired by Tech to Protect Contest 005 – Fire Safety in 3D: Incentivizing Homeowners to Create Pre-Incident Plans for Firefighters. Our technology is designed to make 3D data capture as fast, easy, and reliable as possible across industries and platforms. We believe there is a real synergy here between the goals of this challenge and the possibilities presented with our Dot3D Pro software.
